He’s the new kid on the block and a total newbie at the Spirit Hunting job. But luck he’s got his mentor and partner Mesha to teach him the ways, despite her sour attitude about having to work with a partner. Darby admires Mesha greatly, having a little huge crush on her. He is easily flustered and can mess up sometimes when under stress. Amazing he passed his test to become a Spirit Hunter.

Mesha is one of the top Spirit Hunters. She prefers to work alone and isn’t very good at social interactions. She wasn’t very happy when she is forced to take a new recruit under her wing. She can be a bit harsh on him, but that’s how she trains. while Mesha has done well by herself on tough mission, she finds Darby’s tactics and plans to be very useful and has learnt to listen to him. She will sometimes praise him, but not very often, usually too shy to do that. She calls Darby ‘Durpy’ for a while after they meet.
